28-Mar-13: Another terrorist gang apprehended today

The significance of terrorism-related intercepts like the one reported below is even greater than it seems because of the sad fact that they largely go unreported.

So what, you say? So reporters and analysts can go on claiming that the Palestinian Arab side have laid down their weapons of terror and therefore the ongoing Israeli preoccupation with anti-terrorism measures, security barriers, armed guards is a function of some sort of Israeli psychosis.

But it's not. Those of us who face up to the terrorism that goes on day after day here in Israel and well beyond Israel's borders have a moral obligation to report on what is happening. The mainstream media have stopped doing it.

The men were charged at a military court with carrying out shooting attacks and throwing firebombs at the Migdal Oz settlement in Gush Etzion. The detainees were also charged with placing a mock bomb in the area. No one was injured in these incidents. During their arrest the men were in possession of six makeshift weapons and a fake explosive device (Yoav Zitun).
Beit Fajr is a town of about 11,000 people, located on the edge of Bethlehem and under the control of the PA. Kibbutz Migdal Oz, a thriving agricultural and educational community of some 400 Jews, is located close by, and has suffered repeated shooting and firebomb attacks from Arabs who fled post-attack in the direction of Fajr.
