Ahlam Tamimi - Click the image to enlarge |
Tamimi, who has boasted openly and gleefully of her key role as mastermind of the massacre at Jerusalem's Sbarro pizzeria in 2001, appears now to have changed her approach in the wake of the American efforts to bring her before a US court and says she "didn't do anything" and the "charges are untrue" ["31-Mar-17: Tamimi, our daughter's grinning, boasting murderer, now says she is innocent"]
We hope our friends in the Arabic-language media will circulate the poster so that it gets the widest possible exposure, especially in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan where she was born and lives as a free citizen. (On second thought, we're not really expecting the Jordanians to do much. Here's some background we wrote two years ago on how their media work: "13-Feb-15: Jordanian accuracy")
Jordan's highest court ruled two weeks ago that it would be a serious legal problem for Jordan to comply with its two-decades-old extradition treaty obligations and hand Tamimi over to the US authorities as they have formally requested. The process is ongoing.
