13-Mar-14: The fire in the south

What do BBC news consumers know about the massive jihadist rocket barrages that have targeted southern Israel's towns, schools, farms and communities these past 24 hours including today?

Mainly this: "Israeli planes bombard Gaza targets".

Meanwhile this morning (Thursday):
"two additional rockets were fired from Gaza but landed in open areas within the strip. Later in the morning, alert sirens sounded in coastal cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon as rockets were fired from the Strip. The Iron Dome system downed one of the rockets over Ashkelon, while two others fell in unpopulated areas." [Times of Israel]

I've notice the odd semantic bias on the BBC before, fortunately they changed the title to "Israeli planes hit Gaza in response to rocket strikes". That's slightly more neutral.
