It's Remembrance Day here in Israel.

One of this blog's authors was interviewed on Israel National Radio's Judean Eve program in connection with Remembrance Day, and spoke about the life of Malki Roth and the foundation that honors her memory. The audio of the interview is here.

The number of fallen soldiers recorded in Israel this year stands at 22,867 (says Haaretz), including 183 since last Remembrance Day. 2,443 civilian victims of terror are remembered; 13 names were added to that list in the past year. Remembrance Day is always the day before Israel's Independence Day (5th day of Iyar), the anniversary of the Proclamation of the State of Israel in 1948.
