Southern Israel came under mortar fire from hostile forces in Gaza again this morning. Times of Israel says Gazan Palestinian Arab mortar shells were directed at IDF soldiers patrolling the border with the Gaza Strip. Fortunately there appear to be neither injuries to the soldiers nor property damage. But this was not the intention of those doing the firing. The IDF troops were on the Israeli side of the fence with the central Gaza Strip, near Khan Younis.
UPDATE Thursday night, November 14, 2013: AFP quotes IDF sources saying there were two incoming projectiles. One was a mortar, the other a rocket. It says that the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad says its "fighters" fired "four mortar shells" with no mention of rocket fire and and no indication of whether, or where, the shells had landed.
