Yesterday, Wednesday, some 60 rockets were fired from Gaza in the general, indiscriminate direction of southern Israel and its many communities. The largest such barrage by the terrorists of the terror-infested Gaza Strip since November 2012, it fortunately caused minimal damage and no loss of life or serious injury. The intentions of the terrorist forces who stockpile and fire such weaponry are far less benign than the results, and it's a certainty they will keep at it.
This morning, Thursday, five more rockets were fired from the same source. Two fell short, failing to reach as far as Israeli territory. Three others triggered the Israeli Code Red warning sirens in the southern Israeli cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon. The leading-edge anti-missile Iron Dome batteries deployed in southern Israel succeeded in downing one of those rockets over Ashkelon; two others fell in unpopulated Israeli areas.
As pathetically thin as the media reporting of all this lethal weaponry is, there's even less coverage of the Fell Shorts, those exploding rockets that have fallen onto the homes and heads of Palestinian Arab Gazans.
