17-Dec-15: Thursday evening in-bound Gaza rocket

Initial reports, at 6:42 pm Thursday evening, say the Tzeva Adom (Color Red) inbound Gazan rocket alert system was heard in the Gaza border communities area (Hebrew: Otef 'Aza), Kibbutz Mefalsim, Sha'ar Hanegev area of southern Israel. No sightings but there are social media reports of three rockets fired from the Gaza town of Beit Hanoun with crashes heard in communities in the south. One report from the south says two of the three rockets are Fell Shorts, with no details of damage if any caused by the Palestinian Arab Gazans to their own people. (Such damage is rarely admitted.)

Though we did not report it here, the most recent rocket attack from Gaza happened on Sunday evening when, according to Israel National News, Tzeva Adom sirens were heard in Gaza border communities, in Sderot and (as tonight) in the industrial area of the Sha'ar Hanegev region. It was later reported that a single rocket fired by the Islamist rocket-men of Gaza crashed in open fields in the Gaza border communities area.

UPDATE Thursday 10:15 pm: According to Times of Israel, tonight's rocket fired from Gaza "landed close to the border fence on the Gaza side, near a kibbutz in the Sha’ar HaNegev region. The rocket landed in an open field. No damage or injuries were reported. Local residents heard the rocket alert siren followed by a loud thud..." So it's another Fell Short to add to the ever-growing list.

Like many sites that advocate for a moderate, Israel-friendly viewpoint, we unfortunately receive abusive, offensive and racist messages on a routine basis. We want it to be clear that we reserve the right to reject them in our absolute discretion. Racist and Israel-hating sites abound on the web. So not being allowed to play in our sandbox can hardly be called a hardship. Anonymous postings or messages where email address of the poster is hidden from us will generally not be accepted.
