24-Jun-11: Gazan picture tells more than 1,000 negative/distorting words
Love the caption. Just in time for the coming tsunami of coverage focused on the Gaza 'humanitarian' flotilla, this appeared in yesterday's National Post, a Canadian daily. It illustrates a Kelly McParland article entitled "Dog days in the Hate Israel industry".

Like many sites that advocate for a moderate, Israel-friendly viewpoint, we unfortunately receive abusive, offensive and racist messages on a routine basis. We want it to be clear that we reserve the right to reject them in our absolute discretion. Racist and Israel-hating sites abound on the web. So not being allowed to play in our sandbox can hardly be called a hardship. Anonymous postings or messages where email address of the poster is hidden from us will generally not be accepted.

If you read McParland's article, could it be the caption is just pure irony?
ReplyDeleteTrue, but it's simply good to see a picture being published that conveys the truth behind the distorted reporting. That's why we chose to call this blog item what we called it. Thanks for your comment - we always appreciate you passing our words along to a German-speaking audience.
