14-Feb-08: The meaning of a salute

The Reuters newsagency is syndicating the picture above today to its thousands of newspaper, magazine and television station clients.
Notice the Nazi salute of the Hezbullah.
Notice the use of the words "guerillas", "militant", "commander".
Notice the complete absence of the word "terrorist".

85 of this terrorist barbarian's victims were buried (see picture above) in the June 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Argentine.

The moral confusion caused by the resort to Reuters-style terminology is a central part of civilized society's war against terrorists. Every single one of us needs to know which side we've joined in this ongoing war.

Like many sites that advocate for a moderate, Israel-friendly viewpoint, we unfortunately receive abusive, offensive and racist messages on a routine basis. We want it to be clear that we reserve the right to reject them in our absolute discretion. Racist and Israel-hating sites abound on the web. So not being allowed to play in our sandbox can hardly be called a hardship. Anonymous postings or messages where email address of the poster is hidden from us will generally not be accepted.
