I cannot begin to imagine...Dear Frimet and Arnold,

I cannot begin to imagine the heartache you must have endured since the death of your daughter z"l.

I am writing in solidarity with you. Only a government which has lost its collective senses and has failed to learn from the past bad faith of its Islamist enemies would even consider releasing these animals.

Let me say that although I can understand the Shalit family's agony too, even that does not merit the release of prisoners from which Israel's enemies will draw strength.

I agree with Yisrael Medad above, that the Shalit's should be approached and respectfully asked to find another way of protesting. They could begin by pressuring the government not to allow Red Cross visits and other comforts to terrorist prisoners in Israeli prisons until their son is offered the same rights.Sarahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29459499.post-52543107545657052012011-05-10T06:55:32.350+03:002011-05-10T06:55:32.350+03:00The simple fact is that while the anti-release lob...The simple fact is that while the anti-release lobby has a very good and logical case for pressing the gov't not to engage in wholesale releases of terrorist prisoners, and they criticize the PM, MofD, etc., for being weak, the lobby itself seems not to want to do what is needed as a counter-balance to the Shalits and is weak. Meir Indor has organized demos but I am pretty sure he has never pointed to an alternative target or focus. Persons opposing the Shalit plan of action need to go to them, at first discretely and then publicly and (a) inform the public of the dangers as people who have suffered; (b) suggest other ways or targets. For example, the Int'l Red Cross should be a place of demos.
- Show quoted text -YMedadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14333122797414935958noreply@blogger.com
