10-Nov-12: 11:45 pm update on the rocket fire in the south

From the Bethlehem-based Maan News:
  • The terrorists of Islamic Jihad are claiming 13 rockets fired in the general direction (they write "towards" the Israeli southern coastal city of Ashkelon.
  • Their rival, the PFLP, claims three of its rockets were fired "into" the western Negev.
  • The so-called Al-Mujahideen brigades (which presumably means the Mujahideen Shura Council of Jerusalem, a terrorist group that claims to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda) is claiming responsibility for 2 rockets, undisclosed destinations.
  • The Popular Resistance Committee (probably refers to this group) said its people had fired four rockets at Israeli communities close to the Gaza border and at Sderot and Netivot.
Clearly, there is a need for these thugs to be perceived as taking an active role in tonight's pot-shot warfare directed at civilian targets inside Israel.

Around 11:00 pm tonight, three Gazan Palestinian Arab rockets crashed into Israel's Eshkol region. Ynet says this brings tonight's rocket count to 27.

In the midst of tonight's drama, two Palestinian Arabs are reported [Ynet] to have been picked up by IDF forces trying to enter Israel illegally. They were unarmed. Note that despite the rocket fire all around, these two intruders remain alive after their encounter with the Zionist enemy.
